British Consul General meets Arab Idol winner Mohammad Assaf

British Consul General Sir Vincent Fean met today Mohammad Assaf and said:
“It is a great pleasure to meet Mohammad Assaf and congratulate him in person for his victory which is a triumph of hope, talent and determination over the most extreme adversity. Assaf is a symbol of hope and a symbol of unity for the Palestinian people and the inevitable reunification between Gaza and the West Bank. With his talent and powerful voice he has brought people together and has shown that music does cross all borders and cultures. His achievement offers light when there is darkness and hope for the future. It reminds us that every Gazan - indeed every Palestinian - should have the chance to fulfill their potential
