The companies come from a variety of backgrounds including the education, telecommunications, engineering and management consultancy. The British delegation is looking to secure business deals with Azerbaijani companies, bringing expertise and knowledge to work together to help grow the Azerbaijani economy.

The trade delegation is interested in meeting companies and individuals from the education and telecommunication sectors to scope business potential and potentially secure value-enhancing partnerships.

Led by Mark Higgins, International Trade Adviser (ITA) for UKTI, the delegation will be in Baku from 30th September to 2nd October.

Mark said:

There is a long-standing business and economic relationship between the UK and Azerbaijan. The United Kingdom remains the largest foreign investor in Azerbaijan with over 300 British companies operating in the country.

The British companies on this trade mission are looking forward to meeting their counterparts in Azerbaijan in order to identify potential customers, partners and ‘win win’ opportunities. It is also an opportunity to learn more about business culture in this market.

The aspiration of the Government of Azerbaijan to further enhance their infrastructure can be assisted by the extensive experience, expertise and innovation of British companies in these sectors.
