Applications for Chevening Scholarships in Argentina are open

Chevening Scholarships cover postgraduate studies at UK universities as well as a living allowance, return air fare and health insurance.

Chevening Scholarships are aimed at young professionals identified as potential future leaders.

The British Embassy is pleased to announce a new call for applications for Chevening Scholarships, aimed at young professionals identified as potential future leaders. The programme funds postgraduate courses at world-class British universities and covers return air fare, a monthly living allowance, health insurance, and tuition fees.

Applicants should be university graduates and committed to return to their country after completing their studies. To apply, go to www.chevening.org where you will find the eligibility requirements and the online application form. Applications will be open from 1 September to 15 November 2013. The process includes a pre-selection of candidates to be interviewed at the British Embassy.

This year marks the 30 the anniversary of the Chevening Scholarships Programme. At present, the FCO offers scholarships to citizens of more than 116 countries, and there are more than 40,000 Chevening alumni throughout the world. In Argentina, the programme was launched in 1990 and has developed a network of 400 graduates which includes governors, provincial ministers, deputies, company executives and NGO directors.

Within the global Chevening alumni network, Argentina is represented by Chevening Alumni Argentina, which organises activities and events with the British Embassy’s support.
