This report provides information about students in higher education studying through the Welsh language at Welsh Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and also higher education staff teaching through the Welsh language at Welsh HEIs, in the 2012/13 academic year. The data included here are taken from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) Student Record and the HESA staff record. Student numbers are based primarily on the HESA standard registration population, which includes student enrolments throughout the year. Students enrolled at the Open University (OU) are not included.
