In the OTS, goods related to repairs and maintenance are excluded, while goods for processing are included. The Customs Procedure Code lacks clear distinctions between repairs, maintenance, and processing, a data collection limitation. Initially, some Chapter 84 Mechanical appliances trade was excluded due to being misclassified as repairs. However, a quality assurance review confirmed the goods were for processing, so they have now been included in the OTS.
