UK natural capital: land cover in the UK
The aim of this paper is to measure the extent of the different components of the land cover and how they have changed over the last decade. After discussing the existing land cover classification and data sources, two sets of physical UK land cover accounts using international and UK-specific classifications are developed. The paper also discusses the future work that could be done to improve the accuracy and timeliness of the accounts.
