UK natural capital: freshwater ecosystem assets and services accounts
This paper develops initial UK freshwater ecosystem asset and services accounts for 2008 and 2012.The asset accounts are developed only in non-monetary terms; whereas, the ecosystem services accounts are developed in non-monetary and monetary terms. The monetary ecosystem services are then capitalised by using Net Present Value to obtain the asset value of the services.
