Please note that we are proposing to cease publication of our quarterly statistics. We welcome user comments on this proposal before a final decision is made. Details about the consultation and how to respond are provided in the Q1 2016 statistical release. This consultation will close on 30th August 2016.

This publication provides the latest provisional estimates of UK greenhouse gas emissions based on provisional inland energy consumption statistics, which are published in DECC’s quarterly Energy Trends publication.

Quarterly emissions estimates have a 3 month time lag, and are based on provisional inland energy consumption statistics, which are published in DECC’s quarterly Energy Trends publication.

These statistics are produced on the same basis as Provisional annual statistics and provide an early indication of emissions in the most recent quarter.
