This is an ad hoc statistical bulletin providing an update on UK armed forces personnel deployments for financial year 2016/17.

Details
Deployment refers to military personnel who are deployed on operations for a period of 24 hours or more, excluding all personnel on overseas training exercises, and those whose permanent stationed location is outside the UK.
These statistics report the number of deployments during the 2016/17 financial year, broken down by service.
The statistics also report how many unique individuals were deployed during the same period, again broken down by service. These statistics are presented alongside figures for the previous 5 financial years.
