Travel time measures for the Strategic Road Network and local ‘A’ roads: October 2024 to September 2025

On the Strategic Road Network (SRN) for the year ending September 2025, the average delay is estimated to be 11.2 seconds per vehicle per mile (spvpm), compared to free flow, a 1.8% decrease on year ending September 2024. 

The average speed is estimated to be 56.4 mph for the year ending September 2025, up 0.4% from September 2024. 

On local ‘A’ roads for the year ending September 2025, the average delay is estimated to be 44.5 seconds per vehicle per mile (spvpm) compared to free flow. This is down 7.3% on year ending September 2024. 

The average speed is estimated to be 24.1 mph for the year ending September 2025, up 4.3% on year ending September 2024.
