Road length statistics for publicly maintained roads in Great Britain.

In 2019, the total road length was estimated to be 247,100 miles.

By road type, there were:

  • 31,800 miles of major road, accounting for 13% of total road length
  • 215,200 miles of minor road, accounting for 87% of total road length
