This publication explains that 26,140 people had made a claim application to Universal Credit up to 11 September 2014. Not all claim applications result in a person starting Universal Credit.
Universal Credit was launched in the pathfinder area of Ashton-under-Lyne in April 2013. This publication lists all of the other Universal Credit Jobcentre offices and districts, and the implementation date for each.
