Annual statistics on Multi-agency public protection arrangements (MAPPA) eligible offenders.
The Criminal Justice Act 2003 requires local criminal justice agencies working in partnership to make arrangements to assess and manage the risk posed by sexual and violent offenders in their area. These arrangements are known as MAPPA (Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements). The Act also requires them to publish an annual report setting out how the arrangements are working in their area. These reports cover the period 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012.
The bulletin is produced and handled by the ministry’s analytical professionals and production staff. Pre-release access of up to 24 hours is granted to the following persons:
