The statistics reported in this bulletin are the third in a time-series to be released annually by the Legal Services Agency Northern Ireland (LSANI) and summarise headline 2024/25 information (with 2023/24 comparisons) on the number of legal aid applications granted, and authorised expenditure, for both criminal and civil cases. Going forward, LSANI will produce two separate annual statistical publications in this series to meet user needs. Accordingly, this headline release will be followed by a more detailed 2024/25 publication in Autumn 2025.
