Total individual insolvencies in England & Wales decreased by 5% from Q4 2020 to 29,140 in Q1 2021

Numbers of bankruptcies and debt relief orders remain lower than pre-pandemic levels

The insolvency rate per 10,000 adults also fell slightly, with decreases in the rates of bankruptcies and debt relief orders balancing an increase in the rate of individual voluntary arrangements
