This ad-hoc statistical notice presents further breakdowns of already published information on proven re-offending.

On Monday 4 November 2013, the Ministry of Justice published an ad-hoc statistical notice presenting statistics on the number of adult offenders in England and Wales who were released from a custodial sentence of less than 12 months between 2000 and 2011 and went on to commit a serious proven re-offence.

We are now publishing equivalent figures for each region in England and Wales. Please note that regions cannot be compared without controlling for offender characteristics known to be associated with further offending.
