Feasibility study into the use of HMRC turnover data within Short-term Output Indicators and National Accounts

This article provides an overview of the project which is researching the benefits of incorporating HMRC turnover data within Short-term economic output indicators and National Accounts. The project is exploring ways in which the HMRC administrative data could be used to quality assure, supplement or replace the current turnover based ONS surveys. This article is the first of a series of planned articles into this work.
