Latest data relate to:

  • 2009 (Export of services)
  • 2008 - 2009 (GVA)
  • 2009 - 2010 (Employment)
  • 2009 - 2011 (Businesses

Please note: We have been investigating the possibility of producing a back time series, to make previous estimates that used the old Standard Industrial Classifications (SIC 2003) comparable with the most recent estimates, which use SIC 2007.

We investigated this because we were aware that many users would find this useful. Unfortunately, after thorough investigation and discussion with relevant colleagues at the Office for National Statistics and other departments, we decided that this analysis would involve too many assumptions and caveats. As such we do not feel that the quality of such estimates would be high enough to publish. However, we will make every effort to ensure that estimates produced from now on are comparable, so a new time series will develop as we go forward.
