The latest quarterly National Statistics on insolvency proceedings issued in the county courts and High Court for both individuals (bankruptcy petitions) and businesses (company winding up petitions) in England and Wales can be found in Court Statistics (quarterly).

This quarterly release was released by the Ministry of Justice and produced in accordance with arrangements provided by the UK Statistics Authority.

Note that these figures represent court activity and not the actual numbers of individual or business insolvencies. The Insolvency Service publishes parallel quarterly statistics on this issue.

2011 quarter 1 statistics were published on 12 May 2011.

2010 quarter 4 statistics were published 10 February 2011.

2010 quarter 3 statistics were published 11 November 2010.

2010 quarter 2 statistics were published 12 August 2010.

2010 quarter 1 statistics were published on 13 May 2010.

2009 quarter 4 statistics were published on 11 February 2010.

2009 quarter 3 statistics were published on 12 November 2009..

2009 quarter 2 statistics were published on 14 August 2009.

2009 quarter 1 statistics were published on 15 May 2009.
