  1. We have identified a small error in the data processing carried out for the latest version of the Benefit Sanction Statistics (BSS) which was published on Tuesday 15 May 2018. This has resulted in the latest 3 months of the JSA rate being reported slightly lower than it should have been. The correct rates are now available either from the publication or the ODS supplementary tables.

  2. Published revised data tables. Table 3.6 has been annotated that the data on sanction decisions where the Decision Type is an Appeal should be treated with caution. This data is currently under investigation due to a potential issue with the under-recording of Appeal decisions where the Decision Outcome is Adverse.
