Statistics on motor vehicles that were registered for the first time during 2017 and those that were licensed at the end of 2017.

In 2017, there were:

• 3.1 million vehicles registered for the first time in Great Britain
• 53,000 new ultra low emission vehicles registered for the first time in the United Kingdom
• 37.7 million vehicles licensed for use on the road in Great Britain at the end of the year
