Reference tables: component approach to labour productivity, UK: 1997 to 2024
These reference tables provide the absolute values underpinning the Component approach to labour productivity, UK: 1997 to 2024 release published on 17 September. They include estimates of labour productivity in both chained volume measures and current prices, consistent with Blue Book 2026 Quarterly National Accounts data. The tables also contain the component approach labour inputs used in productivity calculations, including jobs, workers and total hours worked, alongside contributions showing how changes in individual labour components have contributed to movements in average actual hours worked per job relative to their 2008 average.
