The aim of this report is to show trends in the number and severity of these casualties and to indicate the circumstances associated with the accidents that resulted in these casualties. The report provides information that is relevant to road safety policy in relation to pedestrian casualties. It also acts as a starting point for any further, in-depth analysis of the accidents that result in pedestrian casualties.
