Statistics release cancelled

The release of the National Travel Survey (NTS) mid-year estimates for July 2024 to June 2025 has been cancelled. Following a change in the mode of data collection implemented in January 2025, the Department is undertaking work to understand the impacts of the change on the data collected. We will provide further information for users alongside the release of the annual NTS statistics, which is provisionally announced for August 2025. The first mid-year estimates tables were published as official statistics in development in 2024. The tables retain that status while we assess their value to users.
