This report presents the latest statistics on type and volume of cases that are received and processed through the family court system of England and Wales in the first quarter of 2021 (January to March).

The material contained within this publication was formerly contained in Court Statistics Quarterly, a publication combining Civil, Family and Criminal court statistics.

Notice: In the FCSQ consultation response (published March 2021) we committed to publishing divorce timeliness measures as per HMCTS’ monthly management information publications. We will be continuing exploration of the measures and underlying data to ensure the data is presented appropriately alongside existing measures.

Also we are running consultations on data published in FCSQ for the Court of Protection (Tables 21 and 22) and the Office for the Public Guardian (Table 23). Please see the relevant tables for further details and deadlines.
