Regional GVA for DCMS sectors, 2024 (provisional), alongside updates to Productivity and Employment estimates
Official statistics estimating the contribution of included DCMS sectors to each UK region measured by GVA (gross valued added). Alongside these statistics, we will be publishing updated regional productivity estimates as an update to the DCMS sector Economic Estimates: Productivity 2024 (provisional) release, as well as employment estimates by socio-economic background as an update to the Economic Estimates: Employment for DCMS sectors, January 2025 to December 2025 release. Following the Machinery of Government Change in July 2026, no changes have been made to the definitions of DCMS sectors used in these statistics. Digital Sector Economic Estimates are transferring from the former Department for Science, Technology and Innovation (DSIT) to DCMS and we will bring the two series of Economic Estimates together in due course.
