Construction building materials: commentary, August 2023

Details

Presents information on selected building materials, including monthly data on price indices, bricks, cement and concrete blocks. It also provides quarterly data on sand and gravel, slate, concrete roofing tiles, ready-mixed concrete and imports and exports of construction products.

Note:

We have:

  • revised the block series from May 2015 to June 2023 after identifying a reporting error
  • presented information in table 11 and 12 in a new format, which is the output of a new publication production process which will be released in full later this year and applied to all tables

This new format makes it easier to revise information. It also improves accessibility for users, in line with the UK accessibility legislation for the public sector.
