Statement by David Willetts, the Minister of State for Universities and Science. Covers a guidance letter sent to the Director of Fair Access (URN 11/728) on approach to approving and monitoring of new access agreements for higher education institutions that wish to charge more than £6,000. Also announces the publication of further details of the National Scholarship Programme, which will help students from disadvantaged backgrounds with the cost of attending university (URN 11/730).
