Annex C: DH people survey

Details

These documents contain the Department of Health’s workforce equality data in narrative form and Annex A which contains a detailed breakdown of the Department’s workforce on all equality strands, and other areas we are interested in as an employer. This includes data on:

  • ethnicity
  • gender
  • disability
  • age
  • sexual orientation
  • religion or belief
  • working patterns
  • caring responsibilities

The department’s aim as an employer is to attract and retain people who are the best in their field, with the right skills and competences and from a range of diverse backgrounds, and for our staff profile to reflect the community we serve, as such collecting these statistics on our current workforce provides a basis on which to address any inequality throughout our recruitment or working practices.

4 August 2014: updated Annex A, to correct figures for 2011 and 2012 on ‘ethnicity in DH’, which showed 19% instead of 16%.
