William George Topham, George Topham and Jean Papworth trading as Woodhall Farm Partnership have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006).

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from a drain adjoining the River Burn at South Creake, Norfolk at National Grid Reference TF 86793 35376.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

Between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.

  • 162 cubic metres an hour

  • 3,888 cubic metres a day

  • 200,000 cubic metres a year

Between 1 April and 30 April inclusive in each year

  • 60,000 cubic metres.

With an aggregate total quantity of 200,000 cubic metres per year.

The water will be used for reservoir storage and subsequent spray irrigation.
