Details of the applications
Walcot Lodge Farms, Elton Estate Company Limited and Lutton Farm Partners have applied to the Environment Agency for licences.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of these applications in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The applications are to vary multiple licences with the serial numbers AN/032/0009/019, 5/32/09/S/0226, 5/32/09/S/0210 and 5/32/09/*S/0167 which authorises the abstraction of water from the River Nene. See further information for each application below:
AN/032/0009/019, held by Lutton Farm Partners authorises abstraction from National Grid Reference (NGR) TL 04145 89478. The application (reference NPS/WR/046259) is to extend the period of abstraction to cover February to November inclusive.
5/32/09/*S/0210, held by Elton Estates Company Limited authorises abstraction from National Grid References (NGRs) TL 07401 91644 to TL 08306 93903. The application (reference NPS/WR/046263) is to extend the period of abstraction to cover February to October inclusive.
5/32/09/S/0226 held by Elton Estates Company Limited authorising abstraction from NGR TL 07606 92242. The application (reference NPS/WR/046260) is to add the purpose of transferring water to a storage reservoir for subsequent abstraction for trickle irrigation (operated under licence number 5/32/09/S/0167).
5/32/09/S/0167 held by Walcot Lodge Farms authorises abstraction from NGRs TL 06040 92970 to TL 48480 91690 and TL 04810 92750 to TL 06040 92970. The application (reference NPS/WR/046267) is to increase the annual quantity to be abstracted for the purpose of trickle irrigation to 125,800 cubic metres. This increase in abstraction will be supported by reservoir discharges authorised under licence number 5/32/09/S/0226. The application is also to extend the period of abstraction to February to October inclusive.
