VolkerFitzpatrick Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the underground strata comprising of chalk at Frogmore, St Albans within the area contained within the boundary formed by straight lines running between the following National Grid References: TL 15926 02850, TL 16069 02877, TL 16069 02834 and TL 15921 02815.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

36 cubic metres an hour

864 cubic metres a day

315,360 cubic metres a year
-
between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for pollution remediation.
