Details

Guidance assisting car and van manufacturers registering vehicles in United Kingdom to understand and meet their obligations under the Vehicle Emissions Trading Schemes (VETS) Order 2023.

The VETS Order creates 4 trading schemes – 2 for cars and 2 for vans. One car and van scheme implements a zero emission vehicle (ZEV) mandate. The other car and van scheme implements a CO2 regulation framework.

The:

• car schemes for the ZEV mandate and the CO2 regulation may interact with each other
• van schemes for the ZEV mandate and the CO2 regulation may interact with each other
• the car and van schemes from the ZEV mandate may interact with each other following the implementation of the Vehicle Emissions Trading Schemes (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2025
