This research uses a Stated Preference survey to develop a set of values associated with redeveloping previously developed land, or commonly referred to as ‘brownfield sites’, to new:
- city parks
- urban fringe (green belt)
- urban fringe (forest land)
- rural (forest land)
- agricultural land (extensive and intensive)
- natural and semi-natural land
It is not appropriate to apply these values for developing on previously developed land in cases where there is only new residential development on a site.
