Details

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) commissioned an independent provider (Ipsos) to conduct an evaluation covering the Uniformed Youth Fund (UYF) from 2022 to 2025.

The process report explores how the fund was delivered and to what extent it achieved its objectives. The process evaluation used a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collected throughout the fund’s implementation. Monitoring reports, interview data, in depth case study data from new units (involving interviews and observations), as well as survey data was used.

The impact report explores the impact of Uniformed Youth Organisation (UYO) participation on young people. The impact evaluation used a mixed-methods approach, using both a quasi-experimental design  and a theory-based contribution analysis, to assess the impact of UYO participation on young people.

The combined executive summary sets out a summary of both reports.
