UK national strategy on the protection of civilians in armed conflict report

This 2011 annual report summarises the UK's work on the protection of civilians in armed conflict.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government



The strategy sets out UK government action to keep the protection of civilians at the forefront of its political, security and humanitarian work. The protection of civilians encompasses all activities aimed at respect for the rights of the individual, in accordance with international humanitarian law, human rights law, refugee and criminal law.
