We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
“Lion Laboratories Limited has signed a Distributor Agreement with ‘Laser Atlanta’ to market their speed laser device into the UK. I attach a data sheet for your information.
I understand this is already listed as an Approved Device (5th May 1999) by the Secretary of State for Police Use. I therefore respectively request, under the Freedom of Information Act, details of this approval. I believe this application was made by the previous Distributor, Cleartone Telecoms plc.
Assuming you verify this Approval, can you please provide written confrmation that Lion Laboratories Limited can sell this product to the British Police Forces and Constabularies?”
