This policy guidance sets out the criteria for probation practitioners across the entire Probation Service to follow when reimbursing fares to report for persons on probation. The criteria applies to all appointments made as part of a statutory licence or order.
It seeks to create consistency of payments across the Probation Service, and adherence to HMPPS financial processes, and ensure value for money and cost effectiveness in determining reimbursement for fares.
