National Statistics Status
National statistics status means that our statistics meet the highest standards of trustworthiness, quality and public value, and it is our responsibility to maintain compliance with these standards.
The designation of Transport Statistics Great Britain as National Statistics was confirmed in July 2010 following an assessment against the Code of Practice for Statistics by the Office for Statistics Regulation.
Changes to these statistics
Since the latest review by the Office for Statistics Regulation, we have continued to comply with the Code of Practice, and have:
- reduced amount of commentary and introduced more infographics
- redesigned chapter summaries in line with other DfT publications to make them more informative and easier to follow
- replaced tables in the PDF and printed document by a Power BI table catalogue
