The transport investment and economic performance report examines the latest evidence to determine how transport affects the economy.

The report also suggests improvements the department can make to assess the value of their conclusions.

In order to assure the quality of this work, the department sought the opinions of 3 eminent academics: Professor Gilles Duranton, Professor Peter Mackie and Professor Roger Vickerman.
