An uncertainty stocktake research report investigates how current appraisal and modelling methods account for uncertainty. including recommendations to improve guidance. ​ ​The recommendations stated influenced the uncertainty chapter in the ‘Transport appraisal and modelling strategy: informing future investment decisions’ released April 2019.

The uncertainty stocktake was created by Joint Analysis Development Panel panel member Richard Batley in July 2018.
