Judicial conduct guidance has been developed in many other jurisdictions and recognition of the need for such guidance in relation to judicial conduct has emerged in the international context with the development of the Bangalore Principles of Judicial Conduct. It is considered that it is appropriate for such guidance to be available for Traffic Commissioners. This Guide has been devised by the traffic commissioners and it should be reviewed periodically in the light of experience and changing circumstances.
