This Report sets out the TSRB’s analysis and recommendations on the remuneration of the Chairmen and members of the Boards of nationalised industries, the higher judiciary (and certain other judicial appointments), the senior grades of the Higher Civil Service, and senior officers of the Armed Forces.

The Government’s response was published on 5 June 1979 during Parliamentary recess. The Chair was notified of the Government’s decision in the attached letter.

The salaries payable from 1 April 1979 as a result of the Government’s decision to implement the recommendations were later announced in the House of Commons on 25 June 1979 and can be found here: Boyle Report - Hansard - UK Parliament
