On the agenda this week: Hospitals will have a new information system to help doctors and nurses spot children suffering from abuse and neglect; a new hard-hitting campaign has been launched to encourage smokers to quit in 2013;  and the Chief Medical Officer Dame Sally Davies has become one of the first doctors in the UK to gain medical revalidation from the General Medical Council.
