The Town and Manor of Hungerford has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from the River Kennet at National Grid Reference (NGR) SU 34833 68482 to transfer it to the watercourse at NGR SU 34847 68473 via the Brackets Hatches and River Kennet carrier without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
