The department received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) requesting the following:-

1. How many failed asylum-seeking families reside in the United Kingdom since 2000?

2. Does the 7 years residence rule apply to children of the failed asylum seekers?

3. What is the Home Office policy on handling difficult asylum seekers presently in detention refusing deportation?

4. In relation to question 3, does the Home Office inject difficult detainees in the process of deportation?
