Details

This letter informs building control bodies about changes to the Building Regulations 2010 and the Building (Approved Inspectors etc.) 2010 which include a simplification of the definition of ‘room for residential purposes’.

Also, it is no longer mandatory to provide a statement to accompany a building notice when inserting cavity wall insulation, as was previously required at regulation 13 (3) of the 2000 Building Regulations.
