The Rapid AI Delivery Taskforce (TF RAID) is running an open competition inviting proposals from UK industry on how to use new access to Avengers Labs datasets to enhance autonomous drone swarming and collaborative drone operations. Proposals should have the potential to benefit both UK and Ukrainian armed forces.
Avengers Labs is a Ukrainian government platform containing imagery and footage of various ground and aerial targets collected in Ukraine. This is the inaugural competition under the UK-Ukraine AI partnership.

Competition Deadline Extension
Due to an unforeseen global technical issue affecting the competition submission portal, UK companies have been unable to access the portal for a period of time.
To ensure all applicant companies have a fair opportunity to submit a proposal, TF RAID’s Avengers: AI Swarming Competition submission deadline has been extended from 23:59 BST on Thursday 22 October to 23:59 GMT on Sunday 25 October.
The submission portal will continue to close automatically at 23:59 BST on Thursday 22 October. Accordingly, UK companies wishing to submit a proposal should do so by email to MSHQ-TF-RAID-Outreach@mod.gov.uk no later than 23:59 GMT on Sunday 25 October.
All submissions must answer each question outlined in the submission template document, cover a maximum of four A4 pages (including the details outlined on page 1), and be submitted in PDF format.
Proposals submitted by email must include confirmation that the company accepts the following statements:
- The company is a UK-registered company.
- The company understands that initial participation of up to 12 companies shall be delivered on a self-funded basis and that the MOD will not cover any associated costs.
- The company is willing to comply with the access, security, legal, contractual and information assurance requirements associated with accessing Ukraine’s Avengers Labs platform.
- The company understands that access to the Avengers Labs data will be subject to approval and control by the platform owner and may be suspended or revoked if applicable obligations are not met, including non-compliance with the relevant Terms of Use.
- The company is willing to participate in any required onboarding, assurance, audit or reporting activities associated with access to the platform.
