Teesside Park recovery works

Published 6 August 2014

The works are upstream of the A66 (NGR NZ469183). The proposed recovery works will involve:

  • re-profiling the existing berm on the left bank
  • stabilising the river bank to protect it from scouring
  • clearing an outfall structure of silt
  • filling natural drainage scours with stone and topsoil
  • raising an inspection chamber and a dip in the embankment

Access will be along Teesside Park Drive. The compound will be sited in a location previously used for a compound. There will be no vegetation clearance required for access to the work area or for the compound.

The Environment Agency considers that the works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. An Environmental Advice Note has been prepared and a copy can be obtained by contacting the Environment Agency’s Project Manager.
