This report examines future technological developments that have the potential to support economic growth in the UK over the next 20 years.

The technology annex summarises each of the future technologies and innovations and provides information on the:

  • size of the potential market in 2025
  • disruptive potential of the technology
  • UK capability
  • barriers and enablers

Given the speed of technological change an updated report was published in 2012.
